Our Vision
Envisioning a world where science-based sound experiences are readily available as a form of treatment for anyone in need
“There is genuinely real potential in what you are trying to do and more importantly it can genuinely make a difference to people’s lives.”
Sally Heath Director of Business & Innovation, Commercial Development

Our Mission
promote emotional healing, personal growth, and well-being through curated, science-based sound experiences.
“Shovell and Anthony were amazing to work with. They did three sessions: one for the guests of the recovery centre, one for all the staff, and one for the board and trustees. All of them were fantastic. My employees went on a spiritual journey where they could let their guard down and embrace their vulnerability with each other. All our guests were super happy with the experience and proud to be visited by such professionals. “
Elías Guðmundsson, CEO of Krýsuvík Recovery Center

Anthony Gorry
COFOUNDER of Ajoia
Anthony Gorry is an applied audio specialist and producer working at the intersection of neuroscience, sound design, and mental health innovation. With over 20 years of experience in music production, his work took a transformative turn following a serious stroke in 2021. This catalysed a research-driven inquiry into the use of sound as a therapeutic modality.
Collaborating with Professor Stephen W. Porges, the neuroscientist who developed Polyvagal Theory, Gorry co-created Sonocea® Sonic Augmentation Technology™, a patent-pending technology that uses modulated acoustic signals to influence autonomic state.
Anthony has a proven track record of creating, producing, and composing high-quality music, experiences and audio content for some of the most successful and influential artists, brands, and media outlets in the world, such as Moby, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Diplo, L’Oréal, Adidas, Red Bull, and LG. He has also worked with Grammy Award-winning producers and BAFTA award-winning production teams and has achieved chart-topping hits and worldwide recognition for his work.
Andrew “Shovell” Lovell
Cofounder of ajoia
Andrew “Shovell” Lovell brings a dual lens of lived experience and clinical training. A certified psychotherapeutic counsellor and somatic practitioner, Lovell retrained in trauma therapy after a celebrated global music career. He now integrates AjoiA’s therapeutic soundscapes into clinical and recovery-based settings, offering a unique practitioner perspective on how sound can support healing.
Together, Gorry and Lovell are part of a new wave of science-backed innovation that is redefining how we understand and apply sound in clinical practice. Their work positions sound not as entertainment, but as a precise and targeted tool for physiological intervention.
